この書類とは / What is this form

「個人事業の開業・廃業等届出書（開業届）」は、個人で事業を始めたことを税務署に知らせるための書類です。フリーランスや個人事業主として活動を始めるなら最初に提出します。

The Business Opening Notification (開業届) tells the tax office that you have started a sole proprietorship. It is the first form freelancers and sole proprietors file when starting out.

いつ必要か / When you need it

事業を開始したときに提出します。屋号で銀行口座を作るときや、青色申告をするときの前提にもなります。

File it when you start your business. It is also a prerequisite for opening a bank account under your trade name and for blue-form tax filing.

納税地（自宅や事業所の住所）を所轄する税務署
The tax office with jurisdiction over your place of tax payment (home or office address)

事業開始日から1か月以内
Within 1 month of the business start date
